Default parking sensors

Recently got a '14 Subie Forrester for the lady. Now her parking skills are by feel if she feels it hit or scrap she has gone to far.

While it does have reverse camera, parking sensors front and rear would seem very logical. Subie dont make them so start looking further afield.

Cheap $20 ebay/aliexpress style up to Stinger Echomaster Universal Front Parking Sensor Kit $299. and https://www.commandauto.com.au/command-parking-systems/

whats your thoughts. Is the difference in price really worth it. Ive tried the cheapies before and while ok I am prepared to spend more if the reliability and quality warrants it

i fitted factory reverse sensors to my BA wagooon but due to issues had to fit aftermarket reverse sensors. bought a set off ebay & trialled them & they worked spot on .. even with the towbar tongue there. and so far i have had no issues even with the towball sticking out the back!. i use ones with the buzzer only.

when i get home later i'll check your link.

cheers

this is similar to what i use on the wagooon & i did think about using some on the front [as a separate unit] but went no further with it. the buzzer works well for me as that was all i wanted [got no use for lights].

one question tho ........ if fitted will it be used?. not much point in spending the cash if it ain't used.

ohh .. mine have been fitted for a 'few' years now with no issues [well was before i brought it up now lol].

Raddle chalk blocks on all four corners, then she can’t deny any contact events.

Ive been tempted, believe me. Its got to the point of dont bother saying anything, its not worth it in the long term things of a happy marriage.
Thats why I am planning these so that warnings may help prevent anything further,

Take her for a drive in a car with sensors, see how she likes them. Sounds like she will crack the irrits having her car screech at her constantly, which she will ignore anyway. You will be the bad guy in this case.
