For those critisizing the moderation done on here, if you have a legitimate comment to make then provide it to the mod team. If you're just whinging, and you think you've got better ideas, then feel free to go and start your own forum with your own money, attract your own membership, get your own sponsorship (with deals for members), publish your own technical documents, etc. blah bleh blurgh. Nobody is forcing you to stay on these forums if you find them overly policed.

When your working 12-15 hrs a day, your employer should be able to respect the fact that you might "chill out" for 5 or 10 minutes every couple of hours by having a quick surf and a coffee

Look at the poll, I think it is yourself in the minority. Also stop being silly as you know what to expect at the beach etc. If people here like their avatars to have bits on it fair enough but why can't they sit and look at it instead of forcing it on the majority who don't want it.

So rather than do the right thing and tone it down a touch, we should all just turn the feature off right?? And what about people that want to use and do use their avi's to show beautiful personal pics such as their newborn or ultrasound pics or nice car shots or funny images etc etc - we should all have to miss out on seeing that because of a few bad ones. Nah sorry but the nice/funny/good ones far outweigh the morally incorrect ones. Toning it down is not too much of an ask is it?? I'm not turning my avi's off nor should I have to!

And as an example, XRchic's avi to me is beautiful. Why should I have to give up seeing avi's like that by turning the feature off?!!

This discussion is only going downhill.

The admins have set the standards on Avatars, supported by the moderators of the site.

No one should have to turn off avatars so they can surf the forums at work.

There are plenty of other forums for those that need to express their underlying immaturity, at the expense of women, it wont be happening here.
