Fair enough mate.

I have used Febreeze on cat smells inside, but not in the car so far. Febreeze is that stuff that you spray on a smelly thing until it is drenched, and leave it to dry. It gets rid of most things, but cat wee is pretty potent stuff.... depends on how much there is too and how far into the cushion it has soaked as well. Can you take the seats out, or the covers off the seats and clean the foam underneath?

if the cat does it again, catch it within 10 seconds of doing it and rub its' nose in it... it will learn... evantualy.

though i dunno what is 100% going to work.. might have to try different products until you find the right one, or get a new seat eh eh

The best stuff to get rid of the potent smell of cat urine is NILODOR. You only need to spray a little bit and gets rid of it for good!! We have 4 cats and two of the bastards likes spraying around the house - we rub there noses in their own urine with a dash of pepper to try to stop them from doing it -it's slowly working.

Nilodor 100ml can be purchased from the supermarket and can be found where the bleach is not where the air fresheners are.

Nilodor is good but there is another product that's called URINE OFF. Its in a black spray bottle and can be purchased at most pets stores. It works well, we have used it.

Maybe instead of trying to cover up the smell, you actually need to wash/wet/soak this seat in some sort of detergent and let it soak for a while then let it dry all day in the sun, see if that get,s rid of it.?

Water is the worst to use on these stains. All it does is spread it across the rest of your seat. Products like Urinoff are prob a better option.

How about closing and locking your nut bucket to avoid this from happening again.

My oldies have had a few cats in the past and it's always the tom cats that are unpredictable and crazy. I've had these creatures sink fangs and wack me with paws for no apparent reason. The urine/faecial attack is usually what hurts most.

Ah the good'ol cat urine in the car seat smell... glad you got rid of it. Yep, like they say, there's more than one way to skin a cat...

Your story reminds me of Gofer, the long-haired tabby I once had.

After I moved in to my own place, I picked him up from sisters. And not being used to traveling, he got a bit scared and became nervous... I think it was mainly the loud V8. Anyways, after running around in the spacious EF interior, he settled between my head and the headrest, on my shoulders. "He's alright now". I told my wife. And then all of a sudden, he lets go of number 1 and 30 seconds later it was...ahem... number 2... all down my back. It was smelly. But warm. For 20 minutes until I got home.

How'd I get rid of the smell? V.I.P. Car Care!

And sadly, Gofer was killed in our front yard by a couple of loose dogs. Pricks. I loved that cat.

a **** in the shirt. LOL. You're just like my old man who used to hate cats but he slowly began to tolerate their existance. That all stopped when one cat bogged on his pillow when it was sneaking around. It must be karma.

i know this isn't really about cat pee but... i just pulled the badges off my car (silver XT and individual letters that spell falcon) and they were sitting on the floor next to my computer desk. anyway my new kitten, Daisy, has taken the 'N' badge and hidden it somewhere. doesn't really matter because i dont need them for anything else but its cat and car related so i thought i'd spread the news.
