Default Bagging other Members

Guy's and Girls.

It has been bought to my attention that over the past weeks there has been some bagging of other forum members that have a passion for a particular model of car.

Now no names need to be mentioned but i am formally apologising to any member if i have insulted or in any way upset due to the nature of any of my posts.

This was and is never my intention,i enjoy the forums and my cars, be it my model of car or any other.

Regards

Matt

In all honesty some people need to see a sense of humour specialist. :

Its all about mutual respect, people who cannot take a joke probably shouldn't be near public forums.

A stifled politically correct environment is no fun, nor is an environment full of constant bickering. People should learn never to take themselves too seriously. Once they learn that, they can find its actually as much fun to cop the occasional ribbing as it is to do a little bagging.

Everyone has their own model preferences and thats whats right for them, it'd be pretty sad if we all drifted off to narrow model specific forums. I may be quite lonely At my Green Ford Prefect Forum.

And there are times to give it a rest, endless battles about how the Prefect was better then the Consol or that that the Zephyr achieved a 28sec quarter time and that prefects never got there even with aftermarket denture holders become tiresome.

Same for bagging those things with the plastic lion on the front. Read the URL of the forum guys, if you didn't expect a few jibes your probably long overdue for your tablets.
Its really healthy having supporters of other makes here swapping notes, sharing information, there are only a few that come to cause trouble or promote other sites. And if anyone is going to go mental at a little bagging then they are probably best ignored.

Its all respect, and no amount of bagging or promotion, or lobbying will ever change your quarter times, your resale value, or your handling. So accept it with a smile. :countdown

Damn right, life sucks when people can't take a joke.

But on the other hand, it takes a hell of a man to admit he was wrong and apologise publicly.

Yes

Whatever happened to a good old bit of tete a tete dialogue : about a particular topic. It always turns sour and personal. Some people just take their stuff waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much to heart. It's good to be passionate, but many are just obsessive and blow up like a spark in a methane cloud.

I have to admit that I can sometimes be provocative about a particular subject, but it is never a personal attack and I always try to be objective in my approach..................it is after all a public FORUM and it can be a whole lot of fun and an awesome learning experience when ideas and opinions are shared with some mutual respect and candour.

I think for the most part, people are very reasonable. The problem is that the emotion is all but lost through text-text communication...

agreed though, stifled ultra p.c. forum is never fun.

Hey I had a Torana in 1987, LC to be exact. I now believe in reincarnation because I’m sure the car was sent up to repay me for some horrible deed that I’d committed in a previous life.

Cheers, Danny

It takes a big man to opologise,Though it would be great if those that have a problem with there mouth, would just think before they opened up, things would be a lot smoother. We have noticed the same names pop up all the time, of which I dont recall you being one. Anyway lets get back to enjoying this new forum, & leave the EGO's behind........

This site IMHO is one of the better, more neutral sites going around. It's better than the 'mother' site in this respect which had far too much darkside bashing and also far more mature than the rival xr6 turbo forum.

It's a credit to the members and mods here.

Cheers

Whats this mother site nonsense. AFF is All Australian, All Independant, and All the work of its core creators/member.

There is always history but mother site? I dont think so. :dr_Evil:

The development of the site is a credit to the Core Creators/Mods. Its a Ford site that welcomes other makes and different opinions. A few Holden jibes does not constitute darkside bashing. Respect is a two way thing.

I had a 1977 LX SLR 5000 in high school. Until some lowlife scum stole it and drove it into a boulder cemented into the ground, writing it off completely. Wasnt a perfect car, but no car is.

i didnt mean argument as such, i just meant that all he did was say how good he thought this site was, and instead of recognising that, you picked at the way he said it....thats all i meant
