Default Speakers in fairmont au ghia

Hi there, I have just purchased a 99 AU fairmont ghia and the back speakers seem to be cutting in and out. The previous owner had a bluetooth kit installed so I am wondering if that could have caused this prob, or if it perhaps sounds like the amp in boot or the head unit? Any ideas? Get fixed or put new system in?? Thanks
