Was interesting watching ACA last night, they have done some comparisons between using toll roads and not using toll roads. They started in Frankston with two Ford XR6 and the goal was to reach Melbourne markets. One car went via Eastlink and the Monash (paid about $10.00) the other car went along beach road (paid $0) No surprise there but the biggest surprise was that the car that went along beach road travelled less distance, at a greater average speed and arrived 10 minutes earlier than the car that made use of the toll roads. Both cars left at the same time and travelled in peak hour traffic
