Well I finally got to Tassie and hired a car (rent a bomb) and toured from Hobart to Strachan ( Franklin River Cruise awesome), Cradle Mountain, Launceston where I went to the National Motor Museum, then back to Hobart and did all the touristy stuff, Pt Arthur, Birny Island, Salamanca Markets etc.
The west coast is pretty special. Anyway spotted a few nice Fords about the place. Spotted at Hobart Marina First arrival for Targa Tasmania The Ford display at the Launceston museum Stumbled upon a Hot Rod cruise at Richmond, nice Ford pick up. On the car ferry going over to Birny Island, old fellah in his XA Fairmont, all original and a bit rusty. Spotted in the queue waiting on the return trip to get on the ferry. Big 4WD Effy towing a boat. Spotted outside the Mercury newspaper house, looks like it might have been a Sundowner once.
