2nd last round of the motorsport championship was on saturday @ Sandown.
We changed the order of the day, in not doing passenger sessions first in order to try and get everyone through their 3 sessions in the relative dry. Only the last 2 groups had a slight sprinkling, until the heavens opened. It was only the 2nd time I have ever had to declare an event abandoned- the last was in 1995!!! We were very lucky in getting everyone through, and although there were no passenger sessions, the day went well. one fellow did break down twice, and there were a couple other mechanical breakdowns - in fact 3 were in the one session! But, thankfully no one hit anything.....

Another study found Australians drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means, on average, Australians get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be an aussie. |
