Default Windsor V8 Double stamped Oil Dip Stick

Just wonder if any has ever found odd Quality Issues on their cars that are hard to believe how they got out of the factory.

Pictures below are from the oil dip stick on my AU XR8. I bought the car last year and when I checked the oil I found that the dip stick had been double stamped. Since you cannot buy them new any more I have worked out which is the correct stamping and have left it. In fact it is now just another Quirky feature of the car.

I am most surprise that the original supplier to Ford didn't capture the defect as it must be the most critical feature that you need to control when making a dip stick, but it also went through the Ford Factory plus the dealer, who would have seen it during servicing.
