Default chassis number ident for 1962-1964 Mk1 Consul cortina

Hi,
Can't find anything on forums as yet but can anyone out there please tell me how to find out the details pertaining to the chassis number on a Mk1 cortina.
I have just finished restoring a Mk1 Consul Cortina GT. The only number on the shell is 113E six digits M. From the info I can find is that it is a 1963 2door saloon/GT built in November 63. I need to find out all the info as I went to register yesterday and the TMR in Qld couldn't find anywhere in Australia where the vehicle had been registered.Could the shell have been a spare body for racing purposes back in the old Bathurst days?
