You mean the "referendums" facilitated by a hostile occupying force where armed Russian troops escorted election officials door to door and observed people voting? Well, they were literally in violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, international humanitarian and human rights laws, and the UN charter.
Sham enough for you? If not, probably also violate the Hague Regulations (1907) and the Geneva Convention. Very telling that the only sovereign nation to recognise the results of the sham was North Korea. Quote:
