Default Escort MkII conversions???

Hi guys
i'm new around here so hope i'm doing this right
okies i just bought a 1978 2dr mkII eski!!!
it was fitted with a 2L pinto and 4 spd the g/box is there but no motor so i am looking at a conversion maybe a 1jz twin turbo supra motor but i think i'm dreaming here...so the sr20det looks like a good candidate. I am going to try and complete all work myself to keep cost resonable and it will be a long term project to get it right.
Any advice on engine/gearbox conversion be great
The car will be used for mainly road use and a few visits to the track
I want it to be a sleeper so as to look fairly stock.
okies be great to hear from anyone with advice either ways...
