Guys, i have a 99 Au Fairmont that has developed a electrical problem. the dash lights are non functioning as well as the front and rear park lights. Main lights high/low beam work fine. Also the lights off delay switch has stopped working. When the ignition is switched off the "lights on" warning iluminates and gives me the warning sound. (even though they arent on, wots with that Henry)
All fuses ok, the only common part with all the symptoms is the Fairmont style light switch with the dash brightness level and lights off delay switch. Has anyone else had this problem, common Fairmont issue?, is it the switch shorting and just a case of replacing the switch. Cars done 142,000 lazy k's only. Any help you guys can give me greatly appreciated - cheers, Heretic |
