I'm based in Victoria but work in Canberra, sometimes for extended periods. So I keep a car rego'd in Victoria. I organised with Vicroads to have my rego renewals sent to my Canberra address. I even have a change of address confirmation letter specifying my new postal address with the vehicle rego next to it.
To cut a long story short Vicroads haven't sent my rego renewal. The car is now over the 3 month expiry period meaning now I have to go for a RWC and re-register the vehicle. A real hassle and significant financial cost seeing as the car has been extensively modified. Has vicroads helped anyone else out in this situation by nullifying the expiry period? Afterall it was them who stuffed up sending the rego renewal and it was them who stuffed up sending the rego expiry reminder. I've found all this out this morning, will be calling Vicroads first thing Monday morning. |
