Default C4 under a Capri?

Hello All,
Does anyone have a C4 transmission under their Capri?

In trying to install the 302 and C4 I seem to have trouble with the transmission hitting the top of the tunnel even when trying to lift the engine from below.

If you have a C4 under your Capri did you have to cut the tunnel at all or have I just got the whole box and dice too far back?

Thanks & regards, Jim...
