Default EL Fairmont Headlight Replacements

Hi All

I am sure that this has been discussed before.

I need to get new headlights for my EL badly. I rang Ford up and they told me they cost $398 each! On ebay, I can buy "copy" ones for around 110 but I have heard they are no good.
There is no way I am going to spend $800 for new head lights when I can get some for a quarter of the price.
Who on here has used the ebay headlights? Are they ok?
