Default (more)Toyota Quality?

This has just cropped up in the US in the last few weeks....If you think rust in your Territory is bad...

Toyota is buying back a stunning number of 1995-2000 Tacoma with bad frames. They are giving owners 150% of KBB Excellent value if there are soft spots or holes in your frame regardless of the truck's condition.

If you have your truck looked at and it's deemed a buyback they don't even let you leave with it, they give you a loaner while you wait the 7-10 days for your check. You can take that check anywhere but my guess is a lot of folks use it at Toyota again.

People are getting insane amounts for their trucks right now. 2 guys in my club are getting back nearly double what they paid for their trucks just a few years ago, it's nuts. They are not isolated cases.

Grappone Toyota in Concord reportedly has a 100+ "bad" Tacoma's on their back lot waiting to be hauled away. Toyota is crushing every one which is a shame as most are full of perfectly good parts. White River Toyota here in VT has a car hauler full of old Tacomas rolling out regularly.
