Default Marque Sports Rallye

Last weekend saw the running of the Marque sports rallye- also known as the "club run with a difference".
We enjoyed some sensational roads, departing from Eltham on Saturday morning, heading through the fog of Panton Hill, Kinglake to Yea for the morning check in. On to Molesworth, Cathkin, left at Yarck, Ruffy, Longwood, Murchison, Rushworth, Kyabram, and on to Echuca. After a rather large Saturday night at dinner followed by a few : to be had at the Star Hotel in Echuca, Sunday morning saw some take a paddle steamer cruise whilst the rest took in plenty of caffeine sleep: and shopped. Coming back was via Lockington, Corop, Heathcote, Redesdale, Tylden, and Lyonville before finishing in Daylesford at the Royal Hotel.

You start with the next town's destination, then have to answer the questions asked. One of those questions has a number which is on one of your bundle of envelopes (eg 11) Open envelope number 11 and this gives you the next town's destination. However you want to get there is fine- just as long as you get to the town. Answer the questions, open the next envelope that is a number from one of your answers and on you go....... you also have a treasure hunt list to collect as well.

Mark and Petra finished third, (after Mark copped a fair blowout leaving a decent hole in the tyre. The whell looks a bit flat as well) whilst MOTIV8 and I came equal first with the Roadster boys.......
Door to door was 800.7kms of bee-yoot-ee-full roads, but then i don't live near Eltham and probably travelled the furthest to get home.......
Had a ball - the Fez is having some R & R at the panel beaters for another reason, but is welcoming the rest.

Gotta slip a roadster shot in here.... ;) can't work out if he collected the bird on the left or it was in a hurry to get out of his way......

A recent study found the average Australian walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study found Australians drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.
That means, on average, Australians get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud to be an aussie.
