Default T Series vs XR8

OK, I tried to do a search but found little.

What are your thoughts? I would love a T3 but just at the minute its out of the question. But real value for money can be found in some XR8's and T1/T2's.

My issue at the moment is I want a manual, but have surrendered to the idea of an auto ONLY if it was a T series.

This then brings up another issue, if I get a S1 or S2 T then why not get a S2 or S3 XR8 and have more power and a high chance of a manual.

Anyone else been through this process? Both cars currently offer great value. I am in need of a family bus/weekend cruiser within 6 months.

BA-BF is out of the question because of price, and any BA-BF in my range is not what I want anyway.

Cheers
