Default S1 brake problem

hey fellas i have a quick question regarding the s1 brakes.
i recently got new pads all round and the rear rotors machined, all was good till about a week after this was done, now the pedal makes a sound as if its letting out air as you push it down, also the pedal is quite hard, you have to push it extremely hard to keep the car stopped, sometimes pressing the pedal doesn't slow the car at all then i'd push a bit harder and it'd do an emergency brake.

anyone have any idea what could be wrong? maybe air in the system?
brake booster problem?
