One of the first things I did after picking up my FG F6 last October was to get a front and back wheel alignment. The back was well out and the front wasn't too bad but we found there were no camber adjustment shims on the drivers side and only a piddling one on the left side. So effectively camber runs at zero and I have been looking for a camber kit ever since.
The good news is .... K-Mac have just released a camber/castor kit for FG's. It works on the same ratchet system as the one for earlier Ford models and allows up to around 3.5 degres negative camber. I live in hilly country with lots of curving roads and used to run my BF front end on minus 0.5 degrees right and minus 0.75 degrees left and got even tread wear. Then I used to run minus 2.5 degrees on track days. I did this using the K-Mac camber/castor kit. I can recommend them. |
