Default Oh bother

Well what a fun night at Heathcote. Got a few passes in, nowhere near my PB and she never really felt happy. Pulled a ripper burnout for my 4th and last pass (I think there is a pic of it somewhere :evil3: ) but that's where the fun ended. Got to about 1/2 track on the 4th pass and something felt wrong so I got out of the throttle.

Took her back to the pits and could feel that it was only running on 7 cylinders. After numerous inspections, Cheers Gaz, Whoosh, Kev, Melz, Ben, Stef, Mr & Mrs Bloke and everyone else who came to have a squiz, it was decided that yes there was an issue and that issue sounds like either a broken valve spring or a bent valve. Not good but not real bad.

Managed to nurse her the near on 2 hours back to Ballarat and during that trip I had a chance to think. Do I just repair/replace the broken/bent bit or, now this is the bit I like, use Russell logic of where if you break something you must replace it with other parts that will give to more go ponies.

In saying this I am thinking I may pull the XR off the road for a while until I have the required $$ for some new heads, a new throttlebody and a new intake. Decisions, decisions.....
