Just an update for those that have been following my progress on the "FPV backpacker tour of Australia 2009" (kinda cool to meet people at car shows that say... oh yeah I've read about your day trips on the forum)
Anyway, today my boss announced that my position has been made redundant here in the posh North Shore of Sydney, LOL Great! I would be stupid to say it came as a surprise, business has been super slow, and I was a cost rather than a necessity... sad that its two weeks short of my trip to France, so I'll be sitting on my thumb for the next two weeks as I had no travel planned for July... Great again! But I can't say I regret any of my experience so far here. The job was flexible enough that I got to travel heaps: Cairns, Townsville, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, Fiji... etc. I've already gave a week's notice to my landloard to let her know I'm moving out on Monday... no plans yet, but now I got the kick in the *** I needed to seriously start looking for work in Brisbane. ... if that doesn't work, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth... or back to the States. Fun! --Russ :togo:
