Default someone attempting to steal my car!

hi all,
someone has tried to steal my car tonight i was inside with the door to my veranda open when i heard the noise to my door opening (destinct creaking sound) when i went out to see what was happening i heard what sounded like someone climbing my colourbond fence, i went downstairs and checked my car,
they managed to get my cars back door open,
what should i do ?
I cant afford an alarm for at least 2 weeks (biils)
