Default Little Mishap

The Good Lady Wife was on the way to work tonight, when Bam, she was clipped by a young guy in a Nissan.

She was a little shaken, but returned home and swapped the wagon for the
SR and set off to work again. She's a real trooper my Mrs! Bless her.

He moved across without warning and smashed our left mirror and left a few minor scuffs on the two doors. Thankfully they'll buff out! LOL!

The mirror will need to be replaced. I've already taken it off and am trying to contact an Ebay seller who has a second-hand genuine item for sale. I hope I can get it tomorrow, but he appears offline at the moment. It's only $48 which is fine. Any idea what a genuine item would cost me? I may need to swing by and get one tomorrow if the Ebay guy is out of action for the weekend.

Some good news though, is that the mirror scalp (colour coded in Burgundy) only had a minor scuff which I polished out easily. I'll put it on the new mirror and three screws, a few rubber bungs and one electrical connector later, and we'll be back in business!

Thank God no one was hurt and that the car is easily repairable. The Mrs went up on the curb to get away from the guy, which is awesome on her part, as I'm sure this swift action saved the doors being dinged! God bless her! I think I'll get the front end re-aligned tomorrow as well, just to make sure everything is all okay.

I hope and pray each AUvian stays safe and well, both on and off the roads these Easter days.

Shalom,

GK

P.S Does anyone in the Northern or Western burbs of Melbourne happen to have a genuine AU left mirror in very good nick?
