Money is needed, and buckets of it, but time is the issue. Getting the stuff there to sustain life, let alone making the things in the first place. The cycler mentioned above may be a way to solve some of the issues, getting there, but theres still the issue of living there, so much is needed. The international space station is a good start to testing the possibilities. But I think it will be several + decades before such a trip is really on the cards.

I hope not, Id like to see it done.
