Hi I have a 1998 HC Mondeo Wagon and the tailgate will not open now, dealer says Actuator is busted and they cannot get the part anywhere.
Problem is they say they will have to cut a hole in tailgate to open it. What the hell do i do ? does anyone know how to open a stuck tailgate ? Key will not open it and it just makes a continuous clicking noise when you push the button to open it. I have tried many wreckers to source the part but i suppose the first problem is gettign the tailgate open - am i better off going to a bodyworks shop than a service shop in this case ?
