Default AU Fairmont clock

So the clock in my AU is slow... It's the analogue type, Fairmont dash...

I thought it might have been damaged by heat so I took the whole lot apart and found that the clock is actually VERY basic inside and made up of just 4 or 5 METAL cogs, all looked perfect. Nothing was melted, jammed, worn or otherwise.

Holding the <- and -> buttons adjusts the clock faultlessly (doesn't jam or slow down or make any nasty noises).

The clock is just constantly SLOW. Overnight it'll lose 3-4 hours.

Any ideas if it might be repairable or what might cause this?

Can't find anyone having the same issues?
