I found the steering wheel was not straight after two new tyres were fitted. So I went to JAXQUICKFIT for wheel alignment. But I was informed that they was unable to do it because the rack was worn after inspection. They suggested a replacement should be done as soon as possible. The cost is about $650
Yesterday, I checked the rack and tie rods based on process this forum recommended. No leaking, no play, and rack and tie rods connect each other firmly. does this indicate the rack is good and do not need to be replaced? Shall I go to another place to do wheel alignment? Thanks. |
