Default Price decrease due to new model + new year?

I'm in the market for a G6E and would like a late 2010 model.

Am I right in thinking that the release of the Mk2 FG's will mean an immediate drop in the price of s/h Mk1's?

Also, as I'm not desperate, would I be better off waiting till the new year? (ie a 2010 model becomes "2" years old instead of "1" year old.)

For $2K I'll just get one now but $3K or better is worth the wait.

Any insights into likely outcomes?

Cheers...
