I took some photos of my "damp" trans yesterday while I had the car up, and just noticed this...
See those two bits poking out? I think it's been put on the wrong way around. One side has a single bolt in the middle, the other has two bolts. Here's the new gasket I have: I don't think it's the cause of the leak, but still, if it is on backwards it seems like a pretty silly mistake. The last person to replace that gasket would have been an employee of a transmission specialist! |
