Hi all,
I'm looking for a good Ford dealership to take a real look at my tranny. I have recently been to two separate dealerships to be told my transmission is fine, however these are the issues: 1. Gearbox is hissing 2. Gear shifts are clunky and delayed 3. Car feels like driving a manual car with a slipping clutch 4. After driving (normally or spirited) the car smells like burning clutch 5. DSC Fault randomly pops up everyday, just driving normally I took the car to a friend who's a mechanic, who has a terry with the same gearbox, he said their is definitely something wrong. My new car warranty runs out in 6 months, which is conveniently how long two Ford dealerships said to wait to see if it gets worse before brining it back.... seriously! My friend reset the ECU and told me to drive like a granny for a week to see how it re-learns and if that makes a difference, unfortunately it didn't make any difference... and the DSC fault keeps popping up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
