Hello everyone!
I have some great news, the culprit has been caught! I just want to say from the bottom of my heart how blessed I feel having such a large community of people behind me with this. I went to the Police station tonight to get the good news, it turns out there was another witness riding a bicycle who saw the incident, who had put in a written statement, and identified the distinctive "666" numbers on the rego. This culprit now has half a dozen charges stacked against him, and will likely have to face court for the offences. The helpful cop was impressed that I was able to give him a matching rego number (many thanks to Davocol!) This goose is now off your roads, and I am no longer $1900 out of pocket.
