I was flicking through some of my old Car magazines and found this story. It tells of how the then un-named Territory being given the nod in it's early stages of development. It's interesting that they considered a "Outback/Forester style" (the failed route that Holden took!) but Nasser choose the "BMW X5 style". It's also interesting that they planned to export it and make 25000 per year. Nasser clearly got the body style right but what happened to the export plans ?! I also wonder what the other five body styles were. (I thought this may be of interest) Sourced from - June 2000 edition | Wheels Magazine.
