Cool South African GTs

Hi all
any one read the write up in wednesdays Courier Mail motoring section
where Roos became Rhinos
about the SA Fairmont GTs
well what a load of crap filled uneducated reporting
they report as fact
the SA GTs had a 5.7 litre motor what the were they Chevs
thay had four valve heads back in 1971 I wish
and had C4 four speed autos ditto
had Glove wheels did they mean Globe wheels
what gloves did they wear boxing or driving gloves
cost $750 when new wow lets by a dozen of them
were known as the Rhino GTs well I'll be
they were Fairmonts with Futura trim sort of defeats the purpose
he replaced the SA imp gauges with metric ones
the last I heard was that the SA GTs had metric gauges from new
I have never seen so many mistakes in one article
check it out
thanks John
