You are sitting at the front of a red traffic light. Pedestrian is waiting to cross in front of you. The second your light turns green they step off the gutter right in front of you. Forcing you to wait for another 5 seconds while they wander across. Usually which means more cars behind you are stuck for another 5 minute cycle.


Also you are waiting at a red left arrow. Pedestrian walks up to the button and presses it, then continues walking across the road without stopping.
Then the straight ahead light goes green while your arrow stays red so you can 'wait' for a pedestrian to cross who has already disappeared off into the distance
