Default Buying a car interstate

Hi, just after people's experience on buying cars interstate. Am interested in a car from Tasmania but am a bit daunted buying a car sight unseen, assuming I can't make it there to see it. Also, is it a huge hassle changing registrations and roadworthys? Really just after some insight on people who have done this before. Thanks
