Hey gang,
Was looking at my usual Astronomy Picture of the Day specifically http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/1401...melies_257.jpg now that the Chinese have landed the rover, and the USA still has the orbiter doing it's rounds, the subject is very applicable. The 1902 movie can be found here, restored from a 'hand painted' copy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNVmYxc6iZ4 The story behind the film can be found here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Trip_to_the_Moon NASA's supported, Astronomy Picture of the Day can be found here... http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ A good site, well worth popping in your favourites and checking out each day. The sound track to the movie is obviously modern, the Film = amazing stuff.
