Hey Guys,
Had my ST for 3 weeks now and it's easily my favorite car I've owned. Just wanna know if anyone can shed any light on whats making this noise. Basically around 2000rpm I get a sound that's a little like someone blowing across the top of a beer bottle. That really is the best way I can describe it. On a cold start it's really quite loud as the revs pass through 2000 then it just disappears beyond that. And after a minute or so when theirs a bit of temp in the engine it almost disappears altogether, although It actually is still there just very very quiet. I can only hear it with the window down and no radio and only around 2000rpm. It happens both in gear and in neutral, but is louder when pulling in gear. Its defiantly not the high pitch whine of the turbo. The cars only done 1400 ks Would love to know anyone's thoughts Cheers Rick |
