Probably because for year’s on end it’s always been that the Falcon has been the all round driving package but lacked the speed in a straight line compared to the Commodore and that is what the magazines have published, the Tickford branded car’s were re-known for their overall package but yet when compared to the opposition the mags preferred the overall straight line drag speed.

Now it has turned full circle and yet we still hear and read how great the Commodore is as an overall package and this in todays standards makes it the winner.....but not back then.
