Hi guys
I have 1.6L petrol WS Fiesta that sounds like a diesel when you first start it. Very tappity but goes away after it wams up. I have searched youtube and it seems to happen with other Fiesta's too. Is this a common fault? I've done 60K is it a hydraulic lifter problem? It's serviced regularly and I run good oil so very supprised if the lifters have gone already. Went to Ford but they want 120ph to diag fault. They won't admit there is a known issue with engine or even the well known issue with the manual gearbox and trying to select reverse. Al help is appreciated Regards Kev |
