Default Kf laser surging at full throttle

Hi all,

Picked up a 1990 KF laser hatch, auto, 1.6 carby really cheap last week and ive been fixing a few issues its had but have hit a wall

It starts and idles fine, no misses or stumbles at all. It will drive fine all day if you stay under half throttle.
When you try to go full throttle anywhere near the top of a gear it jerks and hesitates and you lose all power.
This happens in all gears but if you rev it while its sitting still it revs fine.

So far I've done spark plugs, leads, changed the dizzy to a much cleaner looking one i got with it, cleaned out the carby and float bowl
and replaced the air and fuel filters.
Still no luck.

I have noticed that sometimes it looks like the float bowl doesn't come back up fast enough after you rev it.
I'm thinking maybe the fuel pump but I'm not sure.

Any ideas?

Also i know its been asked many times before as I've searched the old threads a few times, Does anyone have a pdf of the repair manual?
It has to have the carby section in it as I now have 3 different manuals all relating to the single or double ohc fuel inected models.

Thanks in advance.
