Hello to all. This is my first post whereby few if any may follow as I am not currently a Ford owner. I did however buy a XY Fairmont new in 1972 (Alan Coffey Ford) in Ultra white with Saddle (a nice mid brown) interior; 250 ci. engine. How I wish I had paid a paltry $1000 (about) extra and bought a XYGT as did a neighbour - 'Vermillion Fire' I think it was.
The Fairmont was nice to drive - better than my late mothers 1973 TC Cortina XLE also with the 250 ci. engine. I dont know how she drove it without power steering - that big 'lump' up front made it as handful but I always did like that durable 6 cyl. unit. I now have a supercharged 4WD and are trying to locate Duane Evans who had dyno tuned my car (he had a 4WD dyno) when he operated Top-Torque Performance, Green St., Doveton, Vic. I've just been told he has gone from there and as a 'Google' search indicated that some Ford owners (on this forum) had used his services I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me where he went to. Many thanks in advance for any information or leads. John |
