Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week This week this matte black one tonner took out top Holden. Looking tough with a bug catcher intake poking through the hood and putting down a solid time of 14.37 @ 97.3 MPH. Top Ford of the Week It’s hard to miss a classic mustang, and this red beauty got all the attention it deserved. Classic styling and performance worked together for a best pass of 11.29 @ 101.9 MPH. Top Japanese of the Week Its safe to assume this Datsun 1200 Ute is no longer home to a standard engine after seeing the wide fender flares and hint of silver behind the grill. Either way the little pick up put down a fastest time on the night of 11.61 @ 102.0 MPH. Top Rotary of the Week Is it just us, or is matte black coming back? This Mazda RX7 combined form and function with a tough looking stance and a best time of 14.06 @ 94.1 MPH on the night. Top European of the Week A far cry from the usual merc’s and beema’s we’re used to seeing on a Wednesday night. This silver Volvo proved that anyone can have a go with an ET of 16.01 @ 89.6 MPH. Commentators Pick of the Week Commentators pick of the week went to this big blown Chevy truck which blasted down the quarter mile then unleashed on the burnout pad to finish up its night. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Race4Real is this Wednesday February 17th 2016. See you there!
