Default Never ceases to amaze me how many people over-value the Holden brand

The people who organised the auction of the last Monaro were expecting to receive over $250,000. It sold for $187,600 - article

This is why I despise the Holden brand. Not because of the products who wear the badge as they are just inanimate objects. It is because people continually build them up to be more then they are. The red circle brigade and their supporters have the opinion that:

- if it is a Holden then it must be Australian
- if it is a Holden then it is a good car
- if it is a Holden then it is better than the equivalent Ford

Although the above three statements have been correct on numerous occassions, it does not apply all the time and to all products wearing the circular badge.

Yet ask any Holden bogan and they will tell you otherwise.
