Default Ford Fiesta ST200 announced - the most powerful production Fiesta ever

Quote:

The Ford Fiesta ST200 brings increased power and torque gains over a standard ST as well as offering a unique exterior paint scheme and interior details.

Featuring the same 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine as the conventional Fiesta ST, the ST200 boasts 197bhp and 217 lb ft of torque. That's a ten per cent jump in power over the original car as well as a 20 per cent torque increase.

The ST200 is now the most powerful production Fiesta ever, boasting a 0-62mph time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 143mph. Ford has shortened the final drive ratio in the ST200 down to 4.06 from 3.82 in the normal car, aiding in-gear acceleration.

The EcoBoost motor also offers a 15 second overboost function which temporarily adds an additional 15bhp and 22lb ft of torque.

Other changes to the ST200 include a unique Storm Grey exterior as well as matt black alloy wheels and illuminated ST sill plates. Red painted brake calipers are also unique to the car. Inside, part leather Recaros as well as contrasting silver stitching and detailing on the seatbelts seperate the car out from a normal ST.

Pricing and availability is still TBC, but for those interested, it's well worth considering other Fiesta ST alternatives like the 227bhp Mountune MR230 or the M-Sport Edition Fiesta which features a Quaife limited slip differential.

Alternatively, why not take a look at our full in-depth review of the conventional Fiesta ST here
