I'm in the market for a new car and have always been a Ford fan. I now live back in Oz but have been working overseas in the UK where I've been driving around my mates Fiesta. His was one of the latest models as he had it on a finance deal and it was lovely to drive. I drove a Focus when I was in Oz previously which was quite a bit older at the time but it did the job nicely. I'm looking at getting one or the other of theses Fords now I'm settled back home in Perth. I've got just edging 30k to spend, maybe a little more if I refinance a little. I'm not entirely sure what that will get me year wise and I'm presuming the Focus models are probably coming up more expensive. I was hoping I'd get a good suggestion here on what I can grab for that kind of budget as I've been out the game for a while. I'm most bothered about economy I suppose and of course a smooth driving experience. From what I can gather with the bit of research I've done, I may be able to stretch to a new Fiesta but would prob have to get a slightly older Focus with the budget I have. Any advice or personal testimony would be good to help me decide. Thanks in advance, Joe.
