Default Victorian car owners - Short-term rego available from 1 January 2018

About time, and perfect if you are short on money, own many cars or do not intend keeping a car for long!

From 1st Jan 2018 you will now be able to to make the switch to three or six month registration periods, or you can continue with the standard 12 month renewal period.

Short-term registration will be available if you drive one of the following:
  • Car
  • Ute
  • Van
  • Motorbike, or
  • Mobile plant vehicle.
