Thanks Steficio and Syndrome. It was really cold this morning in Melbourne.I measured the time taken for rpm to stabilise. With the ambient temperature at 7 C,the Focus Ecoboost engine took 8 minutes and 15 seconds for the rpm to stabilise to 750.The engine was started from cold with no acceleration applied.I ran the test test on my Passat as well(1.8 turbo petrol) and it stabilised to 750 in 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Logically Passat should have taken longer to stabilise as the bigger engine block needs more time to warm up.Just wondering if this needs any further investigation?
