Hey guys
I've just emigrated over here from the UK and am now the proud owner of an AUIII Futura. All in all, I've been really pleased with what great value the AU is, but there's one thing I've found odd... Since the late 1990's, Ford in the UK have been using an integrated key/remote (see attached pic). I assume that the Focus sold here use this setup and was curious if anyone knew why it isn't used on the Aussie built cars. I was thinking about getting hold of one of the integrated keys from eBay and using it on my Futura. The remote and immobiliser training procedure seems to be the same as that for my AU - anyone know if it'd work? I'm also installing a Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth handsfree tomorrow - will post pics if anyone is interested. Cheers Samp |
